Allegro adds eight big cities to its network of One Box green parcel lockers and signs an agreement with Shell and Stokrotka

December 13, 2021
  • Customers in Poznań, Wrocław, Gdańsk, Gdynia, Łódź, Bydgoszcz, Kraków and Katowice can now have their orders delivered to One Box by Allegro green parcel lockers.
  • The agreement with Shell and the retail chain Stokrotka will help drive the expansion of the network and give even more customers access to efficient delivery outside major cities.
  • Allegro customers can now join a range of sustainability initiatives when collecting their orders.
  • The new network will consist of at least 3,000 green parcel lockers across Poland by the end of 2022.

Customers in more major cities now have access to simple and fast delivery to One Box by Allegro green parcel lockers, which offer not only a convenient parcel pick-up option but also an opportunity to join a range of sustainability initiatives. Moving ahead with the nationwide expansion of its network, Allegro has signed agreements with Shell and the retail chain Stokrotka.

“We’ve been seeing positive feedback from customers and a rapidly growing number of organisations and private individuals who want to join our project to develop a responsible network of parcel lockers. This reaffirms our belief that One Box by Allegro addresses real needs of consumers and ambitious cities,” says Jacek Powałka, Head of One by Allegro.

The map of Poland at one.allegro.pl is turning greener and greener, with Poznań, Bydgoszcz, Gdańsk, Gdynia, Łódź, Wrocław, Katowice and Kraków now joining Warsaw. And with the partnership with Shell and the retail chain Stokrotka, parcel lockers will soon appear in smaller towns as well.

“This project is perfectly aligned with our ambition to meet consumer needs as part of our customer relationship management strategy. We want our stores and their immediate surroundings to be a place where you can conveniently do and finish as many of your daily errands as possible,” says Mirosław Wawryszczuk, Board Member and Head of Sales and Marketing at Stokrotka.

Each new green parcel locker makes online shopping more accessible and parcel pick-up more convenient for an increasing number of customers, not least because One Box by Allegro offers facilities for people with disabilities. This includes support for users with visual and an innovative contact channel for people with hearing loss, supported by Polish sign language interpreters. The new network also means more opportunities to take concrete action to help the environment. With One Box by Allegro, unwanted electronics that often gather dust in our homes can now be given a second life. After collecting their very first parcel, every customer will receive a code entitling them to send working electronic equipment they do not need any more free of charge, making it easy to get in on the reUSE trend. Better still, Allegro has pledged to plant a tree with a personal dedication from the customer after every 10th collected parcel (3rd by the end of the year), with the first trees to be planted already this year.
