Allegro launches CEO succession process, Francois Nuyts remains in charge until his successor is found

February 24, 2022

Allegro.eu’s Board of Directors launches a succession process for the Allegro CEO, aiming to search for the perfect candidate from within or outside the group, as Francois Nuyts continues to lead the company. The current CEO plans to stay at the helm until as long as the end of 2022 to ensure the transition is seamless and all of Allegro’s projects are well ontrack.

“I remain fully engaged and committed to the company, the team and our plans. I will also be helping with the process of searching for and onboarding of the next CEO, who I’m sure will propel Allegro to new heights,” Francois Nuyts said. “Allegro is fulfilling its potential as one of largest listed companies in Poland and one that is about to expand internationally, which makes me incredibly proud of the organization that our amazing Team has built. The transition process is only starting and I’m here to help and ensure the abundance of breakthrough projects Allegro has embarked on are well ontrack."

Francois Nuyts joined Allegro as CEO in August 2018 to successfully lead the Company through its Initial Public Offering in October 2020, the largest in the history of the Warsaw bourse. The group’s unwavering focus on selection, price and convenience for consumers and merchants has made it into what it is today - an ecommerce platform for 250 million offers from 133,000 merchants and with 13.5 million active buyers. It is an example of a Polish scale-up’s perfect transition to international status, as it readies a tie-up with the Mall Group and WE|DO to solidify the platform’s leading position in CEE and beyond.
