PLN 2.8 billion. That is how much Poles have saved on free delivery under Smart!

With Allegro Smart!, Poles enjoy unlimited free delivery to more than 35,000 collection points and parcel locker systems, as well as fast and convenient courier delivery, among other benefits. Allegro Smart! gives customers access to over 100 million offers and counting.

Since its launch in late August 2018, an average Smart! member has saved an average of nearly PLN 450. However, there are true record-holders among them, with one user saving more than PLN 185,181 in the last 3 years. Another was able to recoup the cost of their annual plan (PLN 49) in a mere...10 seconds. Those results suggest that the package brings savings to not just buyers–private individuals–but also entrepreneurs who buy wholesale, e.g. using Allegro Biznes. 

The analysis also showed that Smart! members are most likely to shop in the evening, especially by the end of the week, and tend to favour earlier hours (such as lunchtime) earlier in the week. Possibly inspired by conversations they had with their family members at the weekend, they take the sting out of going back to work with a little online shopping. The products they add to the cart most often are electronics, home & garden, as well as health & beauty and fashion items.

In October 2020, Allegro launched Smart! Student. All students can activate Allegro Smart! at www.allegro.pl/smart/student. In addition to basic Allegro Smart! benefits, the free 6-month trial and subsequent discounted membership gives students additional benefits from Allegro partners such as discounts on FlixBus and Multikino tickets. 

Allegro also thought about those who are afraid of commitment and want to try out the product or service first. Any customer can give Allegro Smart! a try by activating Smart! na Start to enjoy free shipping and returns 5 times over the next 12 months and gain access to special offers at Strefa Smart!, the Smart! Week shopping event and presale tickets at e-bilet.pl. 

In addition, 15 July saw the launch of Allegro Family, which makes everyday shopping on Allegro even easier. By creating family groups, members can pool their Smart! benefits and help each other shop. Family is paying for the Smart! membership only once and it is the same cost as an individual package.

Faster delivery

Currently, the overwhelming majority of more than 100 million offers available on Allegro Smart! are delivered to customers in 1–2 days. More than 25 million offer next-day delivery, and a few million can reach the buyer even on the same day. Allegro Smart! customers can also collect parcels from Paczkomaty pick-up points at weekends at no extra charge.

Poles like to collect their orders not only at pick-up points such as Paczkomaty parcel lockers, Żabka stores, Orlen service stations, Ruch kiosks and Allegro Punkty, Allegro’s pick-up points operated by Kolporter stores, but also by choosing convenient courier delivery at any location in Poland. Currently, over 99% of all Smart! offers enable courier service, completely free of charge. Last year, the minimum cart value for free courier delivery was reduced from PLN 100 to PLN 80. Also, customers will soon be able to collect their orders from Allegro’s new environmentally friendly network of parcel lockers that are currently being set up in many locations across Poland. 

More than free shipping and returns

In addition to free shipping and returns, Allegro Smart! customers also receive a range of additional benefits: access to new limited Smart! offers every day (Smart! Okazje) and shopping events such as upcoming Smart Week! with unique deals. Allegro Pay users who are also Smart! members can take advantage of a special offer: a 3 x 0% instalment plan.

Recent months have shown that Poles missed sporting and cultural events. Smart! customers are very eager to take the unique opportunity to buy tickets for many concerts and events in presales unavailable to other customers. While there usually are enough tickets for everyone interested to buy them conveniently on the partner platform eBilet, some presales end in a matter of mere minutes.

Benefits for sellers

Smart! is not just about bringing savings to Allegro buyers. Sellers who have joined Allegro Smart! boost their revenue five times faster than non-members. Smart! members shop 2.5 times more often than other customers. Faster and guaranteed delivery times (introduced through the Fast Delivery Programme for sellers) increase the frequency of shopping and amounts spent. Importantly, Allegro covers most of the delivery costs as part of Smart!.
