Record result of Allegro auctions for the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity. Over PLN 30 million!

The 29th Finale of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity broke another record. Thanks to online auctions on Allegro, we managed to collect over PLN 30 million. This amount is more than twice as high as one year ago. It is comprised of auctions of over 205,000 items and payments to the Virtual Box. Allegro increased this record result by donating 1 million zlotys to the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity.
The book "Different" donated by its author - Radek Kotarski, in a package with ... a red Ferrari F430 F1, turned out to be the most popular and the most expensive auction in the history of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity. It reached a record amount of PLN 450,555. The most valuable auctions also included: A Day in France from Omena Mensah and Rafał Brzoska (PLN 201,100), a French Open tennis racket from Iga Światek (PLN 131,300), and Robert Lewandowski's T-shirt from a UEFA Champions League match (PLN 100,101). Like every year, very unusual and original auctions were also present. The monument of Piotr Skrzynecki was auctioned for PLN 91,317, cleaning an apartment by Andrzej Chyra cost the buyer as much as PLN 42,700! On the other hand, a ticket for 2 people to a private concert of Ewelina Lisowska was bought for over PLN 20,000. However, it is worth adding here that the singer's performance will take place on board a helicopter, during a flight over the Beskid Mountains.
The Orchestra plays online and via mobile devices
This year, the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity teams from around the world were also very much engaged in online auctions. Using Allegro, 425 teams posted a total of over 38,000 auctions. Among the foreign teams engaged in this activity was even Polish Polar Station in Hornsund in Spitsbergen. Also Allegro customers were willing to support the Foundation from their computer screens or smartphones. Within 8 weeks, the aukcje.wosp.org.pl website was visited by over 8.3 million unique users and as much as 77% of traffic came from mobile devices.
Allegro has supported the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity since its inception. 21 years of cooperation have translated into nearly PLN 80 million transferred to the account of the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity Foundation. Additional PLN 31 million went to the Foundation after this year's finale. All funds will be appropriated to the purchase of equipment for laryngology, otolaryngology and head diagnostics.
